Tim Vine

(Executive Director)

Since the late 80′s Tim has been working at summer camps, shepherding students and families, as well as speaking at camps and retreats all over the mid west. His wife Allison and he have 10 children ranging in age from 16 -1.  They are very passionate about family and have a huge burden to see people parent with purpose. Tim is insane enough to love all four seasons (including the one with the white stuff), and he looks forward to them even when they happen in the same week’s time. Tim enjoys Disc Golf (because it’s free), all genres of music, most sports, and working with his hands. Tim has been on staff since November of 2011 and is excited about the huge potential the Conference and Camp have.  A few of his favorite movie quotes would be… “my lips hurt real bad”, “the flesh it burns”, and “take off eh!”

Larry Bowerman Bowerman-photo-231x300

(Maintenance Director)

Since September 1st, 1998, Larry has been retired from General Motors.  He and his wife, Bev, were accepted and brought on as volunteers to the Conference in December of 1998.  Larry works as Head of Maintenance and Bev helps out as needed.  They have 3 grown children and 7 grandchildren.  Bev has taught Sunday School at Ridgewood Bible Church in years past and sang in the choir and also sang solos.  They both have had a heart for this ministry and are so thankful for the way the Lord is leading here.  The most favorite phrase Larry uses often is “you’re precious, you know”.

Esther Eckler (Financial Secretary)

Esther has been involved with Niagara Bible Conference from the very beginning, having been born the same year the Conference was started.  Her father, along with a few other area pastors, were burdened to start a Bible Conference in the Niagara County area.  Esther’s parents were married at Odosagih Bible Conference in Southwestern NY State, where they worked at that time.  She was saved at age 6 at Sacandaga Bible Conference in Eastern NY State, while her father directed that Conference.  She has a son who works at Rock Mountain Bible Camp in Northeastern PA and a nephew who worked at Camp-of-the-Woods in Eastern NY, so camping is in her blood!  Esther has lived at Niagara Bible Conference four different periods in her lifetime and has worked here since 1964.

Janell Rohring  (Office Administrator)

Tom Rohring (HELPS Missionary)

After working 15 years as a legal secretary in Michigan, Janell moved to New York to join the Rohring family, and in October of 1998 came on staff as secretary. She finds the office is an enjoyable environment in which to serve the Lord. Correspondence, monthly mailings, Camp duties and normal “office stuff” make up her days. If you call, she will most likely be the one to answer the telephone. Janell enjoys cooking and sewing, but not cleaning up the mess!  The summer of 1984 Tom was born-again one Sunday evening here at Niagara Bible Conference. Now his passion is helping churches with their building projects. He came under the Mission umbrella in 1996 and uses his large equipment and the skills God has given him throughout the USA. He especially loves to assist small Gospel-preaching congregations.

Rachael Dodd (Cook)

Rachael Dodd joined the staff in May of 2012. She is from wild and wonderful West Virginia, but don’t hold that against her. Rachael graduated from Allegany College of Maryland with a degree in Culinary Arts in May of 2010. Her background of working in camp ministry led her to have a desire to work in the Camp ministry full time. While she was working as a cook at the Western Maryland Health System, God opened the door for Rachael to become the Cook at Niagara Adventure Camp. Now she gets to serve the Lord while doing something she loves – cooking. Rachael also loves traveling, sewing, and scrapbooking, but most of all she loves the New York Yankees.

Joe Wisniewski

(Maintenance Staff & Migrant Worker Ministry)

Joe and Nicole have been serving at NBC since the fall of 2011.  Joe, Nicole and their kids enjoy living on the beautiful property of NBC.  Joe serves in the maintenance department with Larry helping to keep NBC operating smoothly and looking beautiful.  Joe is a 2001 graduate of Moody Bible Institute’s Aviation School as a maintenance specialist.  He also has experience in construction and vehicle and equipment maintenance.   He enjoys putting his skills to use serving the Lord in the various tasks he encounters at the conference center.  Joe and Nicole are missionaries who come to NBC with five years of experience on the mission field in Mexico and Colorado working to make disciples among Spanish-speakers.  They continue to put their missions experience to work through a partnership with their local church in reaching out to the many Spanish-speaking migrant laborers who work in orchards that even surround the conference center.  God has opened exciting opportunities to this ministry and NBC has a strategic role in helping to see this Spanish-speaking community reached for Jesus.  They both grew up within minutes of NBC and are excited to be able to serve the Lord close to their families.
